| This paper proposes a novel parallel control scheme for the cross-directional basis weight profile in paper-making processes. The multiple actuator coordination is realized by using multivariable GPC. The parallel processing technique is used for multivariable GPC in order to improve the real-time performance. A high dimensional GPC algorithm is decomposed into parallel algorithms,which can be implemented in a multiprocessor system. Computer simulation results verify that the control strategy is effective. |
