| A modified Chua's circuit is investigated by replacing its piecewise linear v -i characteristic of the nonlinear component with the x|x| function. The role of the function x|x| as a chaos generator is discussed, and is rigorously verified via the Shil'nikov method. Simulations with bifurcation analysis are carried out and, finally, a circuit design implemented in laboratory is described. |
